Xueheng Shi

Assistant Professor
Areas of Expertise: Time series analysis, signal processing, changepoint analysis, climate study, high-dimensional data, and machine learning.

Dr. Xueheng Shi obtained his PhD of mathematics from Clemson University in 2020, and then he completed the postdoctoral scholarship at UC Santa Cruz (2020-2021) and UC Davis (2021-2022) under the supervision of Dr. Robert Lund, Dr. Alexander Aue, and Dr. Thomas Lee.

Dr. Shi joined UNL Statistics in August 2022. He teaches graduate-level mathematical statistics, advanced inference, asympototic theory, probability theory, stochastic process and time series. Dr. Shi is also a joint faculty member of Biological System Engineering at UNL.

His research areas include: time series analysis, changepoint analysis, statistical computing, signal processing, high-dimensional statistics, machine learning, stochastic process and optimization. His publications can be found from Google Scholar webpage. He is interested in developing statistical methodologies, implementing computational algorithms and exploring statistical theories.
