Ella received her PhD from the University of Nebraska in 2021 and earned her BS from St. Catherine University in St. Paul Minnesota. Ella's doctoral research was in statistics education and she developed an online version of a non-calculus based undergraduate level introductory statistics course with her advisor, Dr. Erin Blankenship.
Ella is now an Assistant Professor of Statistics at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota where she teaches introductory courses on statistics, applied regression analysis, statistical computing, and applied statistics. Her areas of expertise are statistics education, online education, and simulation-based inference.
