Portrait of Qi Zhang

Assistant Professor

My research interests span the theory, methodology and practice in analyzing high dimensional data with complex structure. Currently, I am focusing on high dimensional variable selection and empirical bayes methods in the context of next generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis, genomic data integration, and genome-wide association studies.

Besides developing new statistical methods, I am also interested in working with and learning from the scientists from other disciplines, especially in functional genomics, epigenetics and social sciences.
