Home > What every STAT student should know > Project Fulcrum

"Project Fulcrum" is a grant funded by the National Science Foundation for UNL to help science teachers in the K-12 grades.  With the grant, a number of GTA positions are available that pay between $23,000-$30,000 per year – THIS IS NOT A MISPRINT.  A number of statistics students in the Department of Statistics have been awarded one of these positions since 2003.  Please see www.physics.unl.edu/~fulcrum for more information about the project and application forms for their GTAs available.  The due date for the application is usually around February 1 of each year so this may be something good to get done over winter break if you are interested.  Note that you need to be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident for these GTAs.  If you apply and are awarded one of these GTAs, please let me know as soon as possible so that the graduate committee can reallocate resources.
