  • 11-1-06: "What kind of computer is that???" Seminar for the UNL Department of Statistics
    • Abstract
    • Video of seminar constructed with Camtasia Studio - this recorded the audio of what was said during the seminar and the "video" of what was shown on my computer screen
      • Please note that during the first 11 minutes of the seminar, I was using the document camera with a different Tablet PC.  Thus, my Tablet PC interaction was not fully recorded into my main video.  I have imported some additional pictures into the main video to help show what was actually presented.  This continues until about 11 minutes into the video.
      • Extra video showing Windows Journal, left mouse click, and right mouse click demonstration done during the document camera part of the seminar.  I had difficulty importing this part into the main video as a picture-in-picture.  You can start this extra video at 4:14 in the main video and have the audio match up. 
  • STAT 870 (Multiple Regression Analysis) examples from fall 2008
    • See "video" links on the schedule web page of the course website at www.chrisbilder.com/stat870/schedule.htm.  I recorded all classes using Adobe Acrobat Pro. While this software is for web conferencing, it provides an easy web-based way to record classes much like course capture software (such as Tegrity).  Logitech's QuickCam Orbit AF recorded the audio and video.
    • The 11-24-08 class was taught from my office. Students logged on to Adobe Acrobat Pro from wherever they were located in order to participate.
  • STAT 950 (Bootstrap Methods & their Application, PhD level statistics course) example from spring 2008; this course was taught simultaneously at U. of Nebraska-Lincoln and Kansas State University using Polycom web conferencing hardware/software with an Internet2 connection. 
    • All of these classes were recorded and are available through QuickTime movies at http://itg-macserver.unl.edu/stats.  The unique aspect of these recordings is that you can see me and the computer at the same time.  The file names correspond to the class date.  For example, stat304.mov is the video for class on 3/04.  My course's schedule web page at www.chrisbilder.com/boot/schedule.htm gives the topics discussed for each class day. 
    • Recordings were also made sometimes using Adobe Acrobat Connect Professional (Breeze Meeting) as well.  These recordings are available at www.chrisbilder.com/boot/schedule.htm (the QuickTime movies are better). 
  • STAT 875 (Categorical Data Analysis - MS level with statistics and non-statistics majors) examples from spring 2009
