How to Apply for Graduate Admissions

     If you are interested in becoming a graduate student and have the required qualifications (see below), you can apply online by filling out the online form below and clicking on the submit button on the bottom. You will be contacted and/or information will be sent to you. Thank you!

Application for Admission to Graduate Program

The following steps must be completed before admission to the Graduate Program in Statistics may be granted:

  1. Admission to the Graduate College (see current Graduate Admissions Guide)Graduate Studies Admission Form. Completion of this form.
  2. College Transcript sent to Department of Statistics. (May be unofficial).
  3. Completion of Graduate Record General Exam and results sent to UNL. (GRE recommended but not required.)
  4. Applicants are required to provide three letters of recommendation and a statement of intent.
  5. International applicants: minimum TOEFL score of 550 and minimum TSE score of 220.

Application for Graduate Assistantship

To be considered for a Graduate Assistantship, the following steps must be completed:
  1. Application for admission to Statistics Department
  2. Application for admission to the Graduate College may be delayed until the Graduate College deadline, May 15 for Fall semester, September 30 for Spring semester
  3. Completion of this form.
  4. International Students: A minimum TOEFL score of 600 and minimum TSE score of 220
  5. Assistantship offers are usually made well in advance. To ensure full consideration, these steps should be completed by March 1 for the Fall semester and by October 15 for the Spring semester.
